JUNETEENTH - also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day - is a holiday commemorated on the anniversary date of the June 19, 1865 announcement by Union Army general Gordon Granger, proclaiming freedom from slavery in Texas.
Our two-day Black History Month community social will take place on the scenic Lake Side Lawn of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Golf Resort Palm Springs in Cathedral City, CA. The majestic San Jacinto Mountains will be the beautiful backdrop for our outdoor event. Discounted room rates are available. Free parking.

Each day of our Black History Month event will conclude with a set of our educational enrichment tools - a comedy show and stage play. All will be held at the Mary Pickford Theatre in Cathedral City, CA.
